Hi, everyone. We are considering the Philippines for our next adoption (we have one son through domestic adoption). My husband works with a lot of Filipinos and they have all encouraged us to look into adopting from there. Does anyone have an agency they recommend using or not using? Any info we should know before we get started? (We know we have to wait until our son is 1, so we're just researching now!). Please PM me with agency info if you have any. Any advice is also appreciated!
TIA!
Amber, I'm also looking for info and opinions (both good and bad!) regarding agencies for PI adoption!
thanks,
liab.

agency recommendations can not be posted to the forum, but must be submitted to the requester via a private message. all agency discussion must take place this way, or the message or thread will be deleted.
Visit the official Government Philippine website ICAB (Inter country adoption board) Inter-Country Adoption Board (ICAB) - Home
We loved our adoption process with the Philippines despite a long wait for referral. Very ethical and caring. At this time there is a moratorium in dossier's for children 0-2 years this is due to there being so many approved applicants...they wish to reduce this before they start taking new applicants and having them wait a really long time. There are many lovely children and sibling groups that are over 2 years old and they are still taking applications for this age group. We did not use an agency because we live in Canada and our government processed the adoption.I know there are quite a few agencies in the states that do PI adoptions.Just reseach..check out rainbow kids online for some info. All the best

Thanks for the info. I've been researching the agencies listed on ICAB, but personal experiences are always best! If anyone has experience with Hand in Hand or Holt, will you PM me with your recommendation? Or, if you have anyother strong recommendations - I would really appreciate any input!
THANKS!

Can someone please PM me about your experiences with adoption agencies as well?
Thanks!

Hi All!
We are just beginning the process of adopting in the Philippines. We have located a Hague-accredited local agency to do our home study, but need to also contract with an ICAB agency to continue the process. Can anyone message me privately with good/bad experiences with particular ICAB partner agencies?
My husband and I are looking into adopting a child from the Philippines. Please private message me of a reliable agency you recommend. We are just starting to look for resources at how I go about this whole process, please do give us some helpful info how to begin.
Hello! I'm also interested in hearing about good agencies who work with the Philippines (as well as who to avoid). Please message me.
My husband is Filipino (1st generation) and he has lots of family in the US and in the Philippines.
