Hey All!
I just heard from Kathy. Whatever she broke (don't know yet if it's her ankle or her leg); she did it good!
She's being operated on tomorrow.
I am going to call her and get details to pass along if anyone is interested.
Hugs for now!
I can relate to the tub/toy business.
I'm glad your feeling better...
Bit of advice...next time, use the force! :darth:

(((Stacy))) I figured I'd let you tell the "tub story" at your own pace!! LOL!! Somehow it didn't seem right to annouce that you'd been stabbed by Darth Vadar!!
Really though.....you guys!!!! Enough with the tripping and getting hurt now already!!! :flower: :flower:
(Of course someone who's been hit 17 times by other vehicles has NO room to talk!) LOL!
Lovemy2Boys You're welcome at my table anytime!!! Even if you do bring beet salad! And that's saying something!!!
May The Force be with us all!
:grouphug:
yum POTATO SALAD! I'm there.
Stacy, I'm really sorry about your injury but it also made me really laugh.
I've not been stabbed by a Bratz doll yet...
Stacy, I cannot believe you've joined the Tumble Club here, lol. Stabbed by Darth Vader?? I think I've just about heard it all now. Seriously, we've got to stop having accidents, ladies. People on the forums will start talking, you know...about clumsy birthmothers. They'll probably assume we've been passing around the pipe...
Janey, I want to come to your birthday party -- it sounds like a blast. And I want to try your mom's famous potato salad! I might have to sneak in my pickled beets, however.
I had a baby bear on my front porch last night. He was so cute, but I chased him away. I could tell he didn't understand why I was being so mean. The mama bear had to have been close by...I'm glad she didn't come after me. If any of you ever come face-to-face with a mama bear and her cubs, be really careful and start praying -- the mama bears are really aggressive and would just as soon tear your head off if they think their babies are in danger. Sigh... I enjoy seeing bears at the zoo or from a distance, not on my porch.
Wow...you guys really give a girl something to look forward to!!!!!! I guess I'll enjoy my 30's!!!!!! (I'm the one who is 32)
Let Kathy know she's in my prayers....
And I'd LOVE to bring some pickled beets to the
Par-tay!!!!
And the rest of you gals...BE CAREFUL!!!!!

Y'all need to stop scaring me for the 50's people. The 50's is supposed to be the new 40 and since I'm turing 40 next year, I'll really be just 30. Right?? RIGHT???
Thanks!
Crick, if its any help I didn't find my forties all that much differnt then my 30's. Turning 50 was/is scary......
Janey...if you saw me you would't think I was 32...LOL....(maybe 42 though:arrow: ). I missed how old you are turning....its not the big 50 is it?
Surgery should be over for Kathy...hope all is well and take those pain meds! Sleep!!! (don't forget stool softners though...pain meds can reek havoc...especially when over 50!)
Does anyone have a pet peeve when elders are referred as being
5o or over". I have been on a few job interviews and I have heard that. I just look at them like they are nuts...I may feel older but NOT...I say...NOT elderly...could that be denial?...naw......
Dpen - well, evidently Janey doesn't have a pet peeve about that seeing how she already has you in DEPENDS.
Janey, seriously! You CANNOT anger the adoptees or they'll turn you and Raven in for the pipe. Sheesh!;)
SS - I'm so sorry about your battle injury but can I just tell you that I laughed so hard I almost needed one of Dpen's DpenDs?
*ducking*
Crick!! LOL!! I didn't even realize I'd done that!
Sorry about that Dpen!!!!
:flower:
I am glad you all want to come to my BDay party. Yes I will be 50 in August!!!
Hmmmm....what do I hate being called by the younger set?
"Ma'am" Ick!!! There is nothing worse to a Yankee woman than to be called "Ma'am"
Ma'am indeed! Yeah right! Just leave my walker by the door you young whipper snapper and get me my Metamucil!!!
Baby bear's on porches! Yikes!
Janeytwo
Just leave my walker by the door you young whipper snapper and get me my Metamucil!!!

Whipper Snapper:p

I have to say I looked older today I think. The word is FRAZZLED! Yes indeedy.
Problem with me is I don't dye my hair anymore and it is gray gray GRAY white. And I'm only 42 *snf*. Ok, occasionally purple, but why I don't do it normally is a long story involving the lesson that you should never let a bald man dye your hair.

I have to admit, before I figured out where all the blood came from I thought briefly that maybe my uterus fell out. LOL Now that paints a picture. Darth has been evicted from the bathroom.:darth: May the force be with you.
This thread has become completely hillarious... however I was wondering... could I have an update on how Kathy is recovering?!!

Hey Oceanic! :grouphug:
Kathy is doing pretty well. Though clearly since I am answering in her place it seems she's become a "slacker" on the boards!! LOL!!!
I'm sure she'll see this and come in sometime today! But she's doing good.
Crick :flower: I just saw that Ma'am!! I tell ya folks, these younguns' have no respect for the elderly! Why in my day, we kept our covered wagons swept and our "whipper snappers" were seen and not heard!! :woohoo:
And this talk of uteruses and bald men playing with women's hair!! What is happening to society?
Nothing good I hope! LOL! :eyebrows:
How did I miss this thread? I know I am late but hope that Kathy is recovering from her surgery and pray that she all better soon.
