I personally know the grandmother, but that is it. Our first conversation I was asked to reveal a phone number which I did not wish to give as I really want to get to know the situation a bit better and speak to the birth parents before opening a port of direct contact. I did provide an email. Does anyone have an experience with obtaining a virtual phone number or 800#? This will give an alternate way of contacting us that is a bit more secure.
Thank you.
I'm confused... Do you mean an expectant mother who is considering placing her baby for adoption? Or have you already adopted and this is your child's birth mother?
I don't know much about throwaway phone numbers. I've heard that you can buy prepaid cell phones that you toss away. Hopefully someone will be able to answer your question shortly.

Karenjoy...
Much like Raven I am confused about whether this is contact by a potential birth family or a birth family that has already placed with you and is looking to make continuous contact.
My sincere apologizes for the confusion. We've been contacted by an acquaintance whose son is the birthfather. Young lady is due 4/8... I just want a way for them to contact us in order to set up a meeting.
We used this company to get an 877#.

We bought a $25 Go Phone from Target.
Thank you Magic_Hat... your link provided enough information that we signed up with a 877 # - through a different sight, but very similar to this.
Thank you everyone!
