Clothing Vouchers

Our county RARELY gives them out :mad: Only foster parents in our county that I have heard getting them are ones through agencies (all of them seem to get them) Sorry can't help you

hmm.. I didn't realize any counties actually still gave clothing vouchers.. I'm really not sure, I've only ever received one (5yrs ago) and we could go to Meijers, Target or Kohls.. But that was a long time ago.

I was told that Indiana doesn't have vouchers, that you have to be refunded for the clothing.

Haven't seen one in 2 1/2 years, so not sure these days. When we did get them there were only a handful of stores that would take them. We had a nightmare with one....b/c heaven forbid I get mostly a size 5 for one child, but throw in a size 6! I'm guessing with all the cuts, they aren't on the top priority list, but I could be wrong.

I had one last May for a placement. I used it at Kmart. Meijers for my other placement, that was about 2 years ago now. I have had them for all my placements.(Marion County) PITA to use them, but definitely helpfully financially. A lot of stores don't take them anymore(OUAC) Just call around and find out if they take them. I also ask where it is is best to be rung out, someone who knows how to use them! I try to go at a non busy time too.
