to get adoption subsidy in Indiana anymore? We are hoping to adopt a sibling group of 2-3. But to be perfectly honest, I don't think that we can do it without a subsidy.

From what I have been told, it is VERY hard. They have to be high special needs or older kids. We interviewed for a sib set. They were 2 and an infant. The infant had pretty high needs. She had been taken by Lifeline to Riley several times because she had quit breathing, she was not allowed in public, at all, etc. She still did not qualify for anything, not even Medicaid... I have a friend hoping to adopt a 4 year old and he is not qualifying. What ages are you hoping for?

not good to hear.. I am awaiting a decision now. and had hoped to at least get non recurring and medicaid.. My hope was that drug exposed premature birth.. and asthma along with statement from Ped that he will be high risk throughout his developmental years would get us at least that far.. now Im worried again. I dont know how people do it with kids that have any issues at all.. With just his asthma there are times that even with my insurance I would have had to pay out a couple hundred in a weeks time.. several times. that doesnt set well with my budget!
