my mum put a baby boy up for adoption in Scotland in the late 1960s.
she doesn't talk about it much but im trying to help her get over the grief through stories of women like her - Ann Fessler's book has been a big help.
im wondering if anyone can recommend a book on postwar Adoption in the UK specifically in the 50s and 60s? it can be a narrative non-fiction like GIRLS THAT WENT AWAY or dryer and more historical.
anything would be a big help.
