Our 12 y/o son has been diagnosed as a "surface dyslexic" by his pedi neuropsychologist. There are other learning delays as well. J is homeschooled and the doctor has recommended that he begin using a laptop computer for school.
I'm pretty clueless here. Does anyone have any experience in this area? Other than the obvious reports and research papers that would need to be formally typed, in what other ways could the computer be utilized to help him? What are the advantages, in your opinion?
Any input would be appreciated. I would love to hear about any personal experience you may have in this area and how it worked for you.
