adoption agencies

I think it depends on your own situation. We selected an adoption agency becasue we want the agency to look for and find a birthmother for us. We hope to get more exposure through an agency verse a lawyer. I think referral agencies are good but have higher fees. From what I've read, they spend more on advertising, which is why their fees are more.We had a meeting with the agency we selected before we made any final decisions. The founder was really nice and informative, I think this helped us make our decision.Ray

We decided to work with Catholic Charities. I feel very optimistic and really believe that we made the right choice. It has been smooth and easy thus far. We just started the process, and our SW has pushed us through a lot of the timely beginning stuff! I am aware of several BM that they are working with. They are due in Dec. and Jan. I hope to get our fingerprints back sooner than later so we may be shown to them! Good Luck
