My son is extremely hyper, bounces off the walls, in perpetual motion. I thought it was abnormal (I had three girls before) until I had friends with boys his age. They are ALL hyper. So, either my kiddo (Big B) is normal or they are all severe ADHD. He can't focus but gets straight A's somehow despite it. I've considered medication, too, but until his grades suffer we're holding off.
Little B, however, is a different story. He was also in perpetual motion but in a different way. It's like he couldn't sit still for two seconds, even when "sitting still". Fingers moving, toes moving, head moving, making noises, not just boy active. Even at night he was tossing and turning, and also drug exposed. Tenex was a life saver for him!
I guess the difference is that Big B made me wish I had his energy, while watching Little B was almost like he was suffering.
