Ok so i just found out that in the state of tennessee, in order to adopt thru the state they require that you foster for atleast 6 months. I had mixed feelings about fostering but if that is what i have to do i am willing to give it a shot. Does anyone have any advice or personal experience they are willing to share with me?
I am not in TN, but in most (if not ALL) states, a child has to be in your home at least 6 months before you can adopt. Even if a child is legally free for adoption through the state, they have to be in your home 6 months before you can finalize. It's not REALLY fostering if the child is free for adoption and placed with you for such.
