Does Haiti have a limit to the number of children you currently have when you are wanting to adopt from there? I am having a hard time wording this question currectly. If say, I have 4 children or 7 children living in my house, of which I am the mom, would Haiti deny me adopting a child from there? Does that make more sense? I have heard that some countries put a limit on it.
Thank for any info you can give me!
Here's what the U.S. State Department says about Haiti and families with other children in the home:
"Adoptive parents who already have children will need to obtain a waiver from the President of Haiti. This requirement is commonly waived."
Talk to agencies, remembering that some agencies are not comfortable placing children in large families, though most are.
