Hi, We finalized an adoption about 10 months ago but have still not been given a copy of the adoption decree. Has anyone finalized in essex county and received their decree? if so, how long did it take?

sorry this is so late, you probably already have your answer by now... We finalized in Essex county on Dec 23rd 2008. We were waiting for the amended birth certificate (birth was in Middlesex county) which required the adoption decree to be sent to that city hall....took til the end of September 2009 for us to get the birth certificate/adoption decree...so 9 months. It takes FOREVER in MA.
