My problem is I don't feel like i'm getting any info on what is going on with our FS's case. Our CW doesn't really say or give us any details. I feel like she either doesn't read up on the case before she comes to visit or she is not being transparent on purpose. We have had two court hearings both were continued and both times parents did not show up. Thats all I know. I don't even know when the next court hearing is. We have had our FD since late october. Is their a way I can get a copy of the minute order?
I'm not in LA County, but we did not get any minute orders, etc. until we received de facto status in both our cases. We'd had the kids for eleven months with our fist placement and five with our second. I've heard the timeframe for de facto is anywhere from 4-6 months and (at least here) they don't like to give de facto unless the case is heading to adoption.

I do plan to file DeFacto Status at the 4month mark. I've only had him for two months. Hopefully it will be granted.
You should be able to find out when the next hearing is by calling your FS's attorney. Once you have the date, plan to attend as that is the best way to get any info.
I go to all of the court hearings and I can usually get the dates from my son's social worker. Before having de facto, I sat in the hallway for every single hearing (and with my first placement we had court every two weeks). I was never allowed inside, but in both cases the kids' lawyer would come out and talk to us so that helped us gain information.

I attend the hearings even though I've never been "invited". I doubt you would be more likely to get the minutes than to be able to attend.
