I'm searching for the birth family of my grandfather who was adopted/baptised at age 6 months in Arcadia, Iowa by Jacob and Anna Remackel. According the St. John's Catholic Church records of Arcadia, Iowa he was baptised/adopted there on January 27, 1893. The record states that he had been born in a SMITH family.
