Hello Everyone,
we are in the midst of our first adoption. We are going to Armenia because that is where the child that we picked is. He is 3.5, special needs and has a rare condition that I have also - that is why he came to our attention. We quickly moved to bring him home and now we are at the worst point of waiting.
We've been there and spent 5 days visiting the orphanage twice a day. We met him and then had to leave him until the next stage.
So, we are at home and both of us are going a little crazy, wondering what to do. We are getting his room ready and making arrangements for our 3 -6 week trip later this summer. What else can we do?
Would it be greedy or tacky to expect a shower?
How have others kept themselves sane during this period of waiting? It's almost torture to not be able to see him.
We feel very alone in this experience and don't know anyone who has had this two trip process to deal with.
Is anyone out there? Could you share your story?
Thanks.
:D
