So, for the longest time, I have asking my dad, Charles Brietz, who my biological grandmother is. Turns out after years of asking, he relented. I have always wanted to know my ancestry and now I have this quandry: My BIOLOGICAL grandmothers name is MATTIE FAYE GUNNELS. She had my dad back in 1946 in Arkansas (I presume). She married not long after this but I dont have access to whom. Also, my fathers BIOLOGICAL dad's name is unknown to anyone. My dad was named Larry Gene Gunnels prior to adoption and the name change. So, if anyone who reads this has a mom or grandmom who's maden name was Gunnels, let me know. We may be family!

I have contacted the family of my this lady who has been passed on for some time, as was her husband. They want proof that I am who I say I am and I will provide this. I only have one letter as proof that she is my grandmother. We shall see what happens. They think I want money and that I am BSing them.
The one thing I wanted is the one thing I will never have, was to be able to meet my grandma and grandpa.
The best thing I can hope for is that my uncle, aunt, and cousins will want to meet me and accept me. we shall see.
