If there is anyone who has attempted to open files in Roanoke, Va, any information or experience would be greatly appreciated. I am in search of my birth mother. I was born 6/21/85. Male. My birth mother was 15 at the time. I have a letter that has some non-ID information. I was adopted from an agency, and I am unsure if this agency still exists or has changed their name. I am unable to find them on the internet. Pm me if you know about any agencies in Roanoke. Thanks!

I actually live in Roanoke now. I am not an adoptee, but I do know of a couple agencies/homes that might be a place to start. Though I am not native to this area, it's my understanding that both these places have been around for a long time. [url]https://hopetreefs.org/[/url] HopeTree is a new name. It used to be called the Baptist Children's Home. I didn't know if, given your birth mother's age, you or she might have a connection there.
