I just want to remind everyone of a few as we are starting to have issues with them.
Username changes are not something the site takes lightly. Nor is it something that can be requested simply because you did not read the terms of service carefully enough. I only grant these requests in the rare and proven case that there can be danger or legal issues involved. Please be mindful of this and if you are sending emails for name change requests based on the fact that you now have 28 kids and your username has 22 in it...sorry Charlie!
You are all in the business of confidentiality. It's not our responsibility to make sure you follow your agency's rules regarding confidentiality. Since everyone's rules are different, there is no way for us to determine what is okay and what is not.
Therefore, please stop reporting other members' posts that have what you consider to be too much detail about someone else's situation. It's not your job or ours to police the member's post. If social services or the agency reads it and determines there is an issue, then that is between them.
If you feel your own post has included too much detail, then you may request ONE TIME to have it deleted if you've gone past the 60 minute time allowance and can no longer edit your own post. However, please take care when posting, making sure it follows your rules - especially when venting. Read your post several times before submitting if need be. It is your responsibility to take the care needed. While accidents happen and we understand this, it's still on you to be careful when posting.
As always...remember this is a public site and everything you post can be read.
Lastly, the only request we will willingly grant to edit is in changing the child's name. Minor children's names should not be posted (unless your legal child although due to the site being public, it's not recommended)
If a post contains the name of a foster child instead of the nickname, you can report those and we will change those. Do NOT send PM's because those are not always read in time but reported posts send automatic emails and can be addressed asap.
Thanks everyone!
