We started the adoption process and the fees are starting to add up. We really would like to bring a child into our family but the next fee is over $1000 and we are not sure that we can come up with that amount of money since we are in the process of fixing up our basement so that when the adoption does go through we can move our office from the spare bedroom to the basement and our new family member can move into the spare bedroom. Between all the clearances, the application fees, home study fees, etc. our bank account is dwindling. We just came into a new church so we really don't know anyone yet and I feel really odd asking people for money there since we are not officially members yet! Any hints on what to do... I opened a Go Fund Me campaign but it doesn't seem to be getting any hits. I really don't want to put it out on Facebook because this is kind of a private matter and Facebook can be so cruel. I can see it turning into something negative. Again if anyone can give me advice as to how to raise some money or even a recommended site that I can post the Go Fund Me banner on that might be able to attract some visitors..... please let me know. We can't move forward in the process until we raise some money. Thanks so much for any help you can give us!

I just started a campaign on fundraise.com. I was reading through older posts on this site and found fundraise. Hopefully it will be a good thing for us to start this campaign. We really want to continue in the adoption process. Any other fundraising hints would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
