My father was briefly married to a woman who was young and rich.. I'm not certain of the details, because he passed away in 2004, but my mom says she didn't want to deal with raising a baby at that point, and coerced my dad into agreeing to adopting out. This was through Lutheran Social Services, and my brother was born 10/9/1967 in Minneapolis. I found the adoption papers, and my dad tried contacting him in 1987 but received no reply. I asked Lutheran Services about it, and they want $800 and a bunch of paperwork, and I don't want to bother doing that if my brother wants to be left alone. I have a pretty rare name, so I assume if my brother wanted to be contacted, he would contact me. So I guess I'm just putting this out there, because I'm not sure what else to do.. Spend the money and get a "screw off and leave me alone" response? I don't know. It's sad, I don't want him to think he was unwanted by my dad, because my dad always wanted a son and ended up with two more daughters. =/
