I'm relatively new to my search and recently found out my birth mom has passed who I never met. Her obituary mentioned 3 people; her 2 brothers and 1 daughter. This daughter is 4 years older than me so may or may not know I exist and could be my full sister.
I'm curious who to approach/write a letter to first?
My initial thoughts are the brothers as if the daughter did not know of me she could be surprised, etc..
Thanks for any feedback!
Hello! I would reach out to all three at once. There's no way to know who you can make contact with first. I'm looking for my brother. We were both adopted by different families and I believe his was a closed adoption so I'm struggling. Our birth mother passed away so um hoping he does research like you and will reach out to everyone he comes across if he's looking. Good luck!!

Hello! I am sorry to hear of the passing. I bet she was a great lady and would be very proud of you! I believe you should contact the daughter, your possible sister first. I feel as if she would be the best one to contact at this time.
