Hello everyone,
My name is Austin Tyson, and I am doing my undergraduate/graduate research on adoption, particularly with regards to its effect on family roles and communication. As an adoptee, I have found that much of the academic work on adoption focuses on welfare issues and the impacts on the parents (both adoptive and biological). I want to change this.
I feel that it is imperative that more research focus on adoptees, so that the far-reaching impacts of adoption be more well known and recorded. Academic research can only help us in gaining the information we desire.
I have created a survey, which can be found at https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/2ZSL586
All I need is for you to take this survey as honestly as you can. It takes about 10 minutes or so to complete. I currently only have 5 responses; I should have around 25 to get significant data. Even sharing this will help.
Thank you for your time,
Austin Tyson - Student - Texas Tech University
PS: I may have posted this to other forums before I realized this subforum exists.... Sorry!
