My husband and I have decided to switch from our agency to the county. We have been pretty happy with the agency but unfortunately were just not getting calls. I'm not sure what to think but I've been told by several people lately that the county calls their own families first and the harder to place kids go to the agencies. We've been fostering for along time and are pretty specific about what we want. Has anyone switched from agency to county. Any BTDT.

We started the switch from agency to county 9 weeks ago after being with an agency in CA for 14 months with no placements but plenty of submissions. We haven't even received our license with the county het and have already been matched with a disclosure meeting our first meet and greet scheduled. Good luck!
