My cousin's daughter has been taken in to foster care because both she and father were arrested. I would like their county to know that I am available to take her but I'm not sure what county she in is due to different homes. My family have recommended that I not get involved so I don't have to deal with my cousin's drama but I want to be there for the little girl. Does anybody know a number I could call to let them know I am available? I live in Missouri as does the child. Would it be inappropriate to call the hotline? Thanks!

I would call each possible county in Missouri. It can't be that many, can it? Also, take a look at Missouri Department of Social Services. They might be able to help you better.
As far as cousin drama...be aware that your family is right. That doesn't mean you shouldn't do it. Just be aware.

Do you know where your cousin was arrested? I would call that county and work from there since typically SW involvement after arrest starts with the police department
