Need Help Closed adoption

I was adopted in 1978 and only found out 2 years ago. I know and have met my biological mom and siblings and i know who my biological dad and siblings on his side are but i want and have requested release of my records and sent all documentation they requested but haven't received them and its been a year. I'm looking for help and support with all of this and i don't have anyone to talk to that will just listen.

I'm so sorry you weren't told when you were little...

It depends on what state you were born in as to whether they will even release your original birth certificate, let alone the rest of your records.

What department and in what state did you send the request too?

I don't know what I can do, but I am here if you need someone to talk to. My son and I found each other 6 months ago and since that time I have been educating myself on adoption and adoption reunions and I want you to know that you are not alone.
