I know every state is different but I was wondering about others' experiences with this process. I noticed our fd's case is on the appeals docket for this month. There are no oral arguments. It's just being done by reviewing the briefs and files. I'm wondering, what exactly happens on that day? Is that the day they review it or the day they make a decision? What exactly does that date on the docket mean?

What is being appealed?
When my son's TPR was appealed they only reviewed the trial information, no one testified. I've also had regular court decisions appealed, those had hearings where people testified.
