Has anyone seen the musical? Would you bring your tweens to see it? Pros 1) DD was adopted due to her parents being addicts. The musical looks at the ugly side addiction and choosing to get sober. It provides an opportunity to re-discuss as she enters middle school where alcohol and drugs become prevalent 2) It adds to her music education by adding in punk/rock (she's seen Queen, Big Time Rush, Lady Antebellum, One Direction, Taylor Swift.. ) 3) it rounds out her musical theater background (for plays, she's seen Wicked, Dirty Dancing, Kinky Boots, Joseph and Technicolor Dream coat, plus kids plays) Cons 1) is it really time to open up this can of worms? 2) One scene simulates sex (there was a similar scene in both Dirty Dancing and Joseph)
