I recently read an article about a woman who adopted a little boy from Ethiopia. She'd been told he was 2 years old and that his mother was deceased. It turns out he was 5 years old . . . and he'd been kidnapped. She was able to locate his family in Ethiopia and take him back for a visit. But what a horrible position to be in! What do you DO at that point? I realize this sort of thing happens occasionally in international adoption. What are your thoughts about how to prevent child trafficking in international adoptions?
