My mother-in-law has not only raised 6 biological children who are all grown now, but has recently adopted two of her grandchildren (due to drug situation with their parents) and is a foster parent to other children from the state.
That goes without saying she has also been a great "replacement" mother to me, growing up with a not-great mother of my own who is now gone.
Needless to say, she is far worth celebrating on Mother's Day and I'd like to do something really special for her on Mother's Day. She's not super sentimental or into cutesy little sayings like "you were born in my heart" or something like that.
With that in mind, do any of you have suggestions of meaningful gifts that would be good for a mother in this situation? What is something you, as an adoptive mother, would value and love?
