Finding your tribe

For all sides of the triad, adoption is most successful when you have a solid support system. For me, that means an amazing group of birth moms I get together with as often as I can. We support, listen, and love each other. I found them through Facebook groups, adoption retreats, etc. How did you find your tribe?

I am part of the groups Adoptee Central and Adoptee's Searching For Birth Family. They are both so much more than search groups. Both groups have great searchers, but they advise you to stay in them once you think your journey is complete. They answer questions, provide support, and give advice. All members of the triad are welcome, so they can really give you perspective.

I'll have to look into those groups! It's crazy how the internet can bring people together.
