Our adoptive family has a long history of adopting and never telling the children they are adopted, including when they are older adults. What's even worse is that in some cases many other members of the adoptive family now the person is adopted, but aren't allowed to tell. My situation is the same. I have a birth certificate and it looks legitimate, like I was born into the adoptive family. However, I'm sure someone out there knows better. If you are out there, had a child at Hoag Memorial and then gave that child up to adoption to a slightly older couple from Costa Mesa, please get in touch. If you are someone who knows about this event, please let my family know I am looking for them and that I need them now more than ever!
