Searching for Grandmother's Birth Relatives

My grandmother was born Ruth Burgess Kincaid on 10/31/1928. Presumably in the St. Joseph area of Missouri. She was placed in Saint Anthony's in Kansas City, MO. Supposedly records from that time period were destroyed in a flood; but, we are in need of tracking them down to ask questions about any genetically-inherited health issues as they don't appear anywhere else. I realize this might not be the best place for it - but I figured I should try. If anyone has any suggestions, I would greatly appreciate any advice.

Have you considered genetic testing? These days, that can be the easiest way to find biological relatives that you weren't otherwise aware of. AncestryDNA has the largest database, and there are others too . . . 23andMe and MyHeritage come to mind right off the bat.
