One night about a week ago our family was really interested in a movie, so I allowed everyone to eat in the living room. We NEVER do that. We usually eat in the dining room, cell phone free. Apparently that was a huge mistake. Now the two year old is absolutely refusing dinner. Now he wants to eat in the living room every night. I say no, he cries and thrashes around. It's not pleasant. He usually eats a bite or two, but that's it. The last two nights he hasn't eaten a bite. I have tried taking him straight to bed because of his behavior. Those nights it takes him two hours to go to sleep. Other nights I let him down when everyone else is done with the understanding that if he wants his food, he has to eat it at the table. He eats nothing. I would not let him starve, and he gets plenty of food throughout the day. Any tips on how to stop this madness?
