I often donate my kids' old clothes to our local church thrift store. It recently dawned on me that there are probably foster families who could use those items for children placed with them. Any ideas of who to donate to get them there?
Call your local child services office and ask. Another great resource, which I used when my son was younger, was Crisis Pregnancy Centers. Many of them have 'closets' for clients to use to help them either parent or provide for children already in the home.
There is a GREAT need for maternity clothes as well -- many agencies keep a closet for their clients.
I usually hit up the end of season sales in my area and take some clothing to the local Crisis Pregnancy Center.
There is no shortage of need, that is for sure!
