Beginning stages of becoming a foster parent

Hi there! My husband and I are in the beginning processes of becoming foster parents- We have our first meeting with our SW Friday and start classes on Saturday. My question is- My mom and dad are divorced- when I was in elementary school my dad took my mother to court for custody of me and was granted primary custody. A few months later my mom was arrested for drugs and went to jail- so of course- she has a felony, however it is sealed, and not child related. She served a short sentence and was cleared from probation over 10 years ago. Will her felony affect us becoming foster parents? Thanks in advance.
