Over the past two months I have been working on becoming a kinship caregiver to my two younger brothers in foster care. I just found out their mother is signing physical custody over to me. Does that mean I will get the boys faster? Or could this still be a long drawn out process. I was told even if I was approved they don’t have to give me the boys right away. But I was told that before I knew what the mother was planning on doing. The unknown is stressing me out!
I would think you'd get them faster but foster care being the bureaucracy it is,,, it's a crapshoot. It's possible they've bonded with the family that had them; it's sad it took this long to get them moved.
