Hello. I am doing research on adoptee's and their reaction to finding out they were adopted; when they were adopted and how they coped with the information. I am especially interested in adoptees that took one of the DNA testing kits and received results that just really left them feeling confused.
My story: I knew at a young age that I was adopted; located bio family and in May of this year, I learned that the bio brother I had built a relationship for over 24 years was listed as my nephew. When the bio mother was asked about this, she told me she was not my mother, but that her sister was; two weeks later, she tells me she lied.
I want to see what others' experiences were. Thank you.
