Hello, I hope I don’t get slammed for this. I’ve completed adoption preparation and am waiting for a match. I met 2 kids already and both were coincidentally diagnosed with microcephallia. My number # criteria is health so I’m even Ok to take an older kid (in Slovakia, older kid means 2-3). With this experience, I’ve become paranoid about development milestones. I’ve just been offered a 9 month old baby. They don’t know anything about the mother’s health during pregnancy. The baby is developmentally healthy but how much can you know at 9months? I know kids don’t come with a guarantee but at 9 months can you rule out major issues such as brain damage etc?
