Hello, I am the birth mother who released my baby daughter for adoption in Los Angeles County (born at the Pomona Valley Hospital). The Department of Family and Child Services handled the adoption, which was completed within one year. Since California has a "closed" records status, I am unable to obtain the modified birth certificate which would indicate the adoptive parents' names. I did contact LA County and obtained what they call "non-identifiable information," and all I found out is that the adoptive parents already had one adopted child (a boy) and they were at the time, employed as hairdresser and mechanic. Now I am looking for her. I have participated in 23andme with no success. Are you out there? PW
