Just wondering if anyone else has experienced something similar and has any advice....... We were foster parents to a child for right at one year. He went to his great grandmother and after 2 months of being with her, she contacted us because he was asking for and wanting to see us. We have a great relationship with him and his great grandmother, with him coming and staying almost every weekend with us. She has mentioned several times here lately that she would like for us to adopt him (she has custody). Biological parents have not had contact with him in over a year (mother) and two years (father). His great grandmother was told by the bio mother that she was getting him back and he would only need to be with her for a few weeks, and of course, this is was over a year ago. Has anybody else experienced something similar? Getting custody and eventually adopting a former foster child?
