Hi, So we are currently in MI. We are awaiting consent for our sib group of 4 littles. We plan on moving to TN, even have a house down there already. It is a huge strain on our budget to rent as well as have a mortgage. We bought because we were told our adoption was to go through in August and when you need a 6 bedroom house in our budget well we just couldn't pass up the house we got. Now the state has until Nov. to give consent, competing party fun! We are all for family stepping up but in this case, everyone including G ma knows she can't provide for these guys. Anyways Noone seems to know anything about how ICPC works when the whole family is moving down. We would really love to be there asap and we were told that we can move before the 56-day appeal period but noone knows how. Just trying to find some answers so we can do somethings to prepare beforehand. Any wisdom?
Honestly: when I did MAPP classes, the instructor said not to count on anything until the judge banged his/her gavel. That being said, the adoptive mom of my sons' siblings planned to move from NY to GA. The county expedited their adoptions. CIs bio family a definite?
