Does anyone know if there is an Agency that would act as a mediator and reach out to my birth father first to find out if he was interested in knowing me? I met my birthmother about 10 years ago and we have a cordial relationship and keep in touch via emails/texting. I asked and she sent me the information about my birth father and I have his information, but I hesitate to reach out on my own. He left right after he found out she was pregnant and they were not married. She said he does know that she gave me up for adoption, but I am not sure how he would react. He had two sons with his wife and one was accidently killed in high school. He is probably about 70 years old and I only want to give him the option if he is interested. When my birth mother filed for my adoption records to be opened the Court appointed someone to reach out to me before they would give my birth mother any of my information. That was thru the court though and I have no idea how to find someone on my own?
