Hi Michele...I'm sorry about your loss but I can see that you have much love to give and a stable home. There are several countries that consider single parents as adopted parents...I went to China as a single parent and adopted two orphans, Zoe and Amy...I do not think that you would have trouble with your financial situation or the fact that you do not have to work...they would just need proof of that...etc.Adoption and being a parent is the best thing I have done..you will love it. If you would like, call Bethany Christian Services for more information, the adoption agency I went through...they're wonderful and do all sorts of adoptions, both international and domestic.
