What are some of the key points that should be included in the personal reference letters? My friends are having trouble starting them without a guideline. Thanks for your help!
Include length of time they've known you, the longer the better.
If your friends know, or maybe educate them, on how you are preparing for the adoption.
Are you involved with children in anyway? Anyone who can talk about your relationship with children is helpful.
What do your friends think will make you good parents? Have them hype up your best features. (Loving, charitable, generous, etc.)
If you have immediate family and your friends know them, they can talk about the strength there is to support you during those first months of parenthood.
Any type of religious connections can be helpful too - of course not necessary. Just another way to help show your well roundedness, and community spirit.
Hope that helps a little. Good luck.
