“The first time a child hugs you and kisses you, you’re done,” says adoptive mother Myriam Barrera-Montes. Their fifth child just became a part of their family last week. The Montes family began their family by fostering children in the system. They fell in love with many of these children and feel blessed to have made five of them their own forever. National Adoption Day is set aside every November in the United States to raise awareness of the many, many children in foster care who are ready and hoping for adoption.  Phoenix, Arizona was just one city that celebrated with large numbers of children being legally adopted into their forever families.
