Tender, indeed, is this news story about Bill and Kathy Friend, who have fostered thirty-one babies who were born addicted to drugs. When an infant is born with the addiction their mothers have, withdrawal is extreme and heartbreaking. Bill and Kathy help these infants through their withdrawal as they comfort and care for them. And then they let them go. With great satisfaction, the Friends have been able to see their foster babies adopted into loving homes and have been blessed to stay in touch with many of them. Foster parenting is an unselfish act—fostering these innocent drug-addicted infants is a true show of love.
