I smile, holding back my tears
Tears of love and tears of pride;
My heart is filled with love inside.
I can’t believe four years have passed
The time sped by in such a whirl,
My baby’s now a little girl.
It feels like only yesterday
I watch with wonder as you grow,
It’s hard to see my baby go.
So many things I need to say-
You’re so brave, you show no fear,
I wave good-bye, brushing away my tears.
