Although the number vacillates daily, each day in St. Louis County, Minnesota, one can expect to find about 700 children in foster care. This means that many foster parents are needed.  Those who choose to foster share the rewards and joys of fostering, but it still seems that many are apprehensive to take the leap to become certified as foster parents. For some it’s a concern about the amount of time required, for others, it’s a fear of adequacy or ability to care for the children. Children’s Services throughout the United States are happy to answer questions and assuage concerns of any who are interested in learning more about becoming foster parents.
