About
The Church of The Nazarene is an evangelical Christian denomination and is the largest in the classical Wesleyan-Holiness tradition. They have a current membership of around 2.4 million members worldwide, with the majority living within the U.S. and South America. The headquarters of the Nazarene church is located in Kansas City, Missouri, where it’s global ministry center is also located. The Church operates a wide variety of publishing media, but is most known for its numerous schools and universities located around the world.
Beliefs
At a glance, Nazarene members believe God has called them “to a life of holy living that is marked by an act of God, cleansing the heart from original sin and filling the individual with love for God and humankind.” They believe in one God as the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, that the Bible contains all truth needed for Christian living, and that Salvation is found, subsequent to regeneration, through faith on Jesus Christ.
Nazarene’s believe strongly in missionary work by sharing and preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ and spreading his message around the world, both in person and through media. According to the Nazarene church mission statement, “The mission of the Church of the Nazarene is to make Christlike disciples in the nations.”
Adoption Background
The Nazarene church does not offer official adoption services; however, there are several independently operated Nazarene agencies found online and throughout the U.S.
