The State of Montana is experiencing a severe foster parent shortage. There are only 26 therapeutic foster homes in the state, yet there are 20 children every month coming into the system needing a home. This lack of foster homes is concerning as there are children in great need of a stable, safe, loving environment. Sadly, there are fewer foster homes rather than more, as the number of foster children increases. Currently there are over 2,700 children in foster care in the State of Montana. Youth Dynamics is available to help potential foster parents navigate the process of becoming licensed. With the great need in Montana, it is hoped that more individuals and couples will step forward to help these children in need.
